Professor Andy Ellis"From 2004 to 2008 I was co-ordinator of a 3 million euro research network funded by the European Union. The network brought together 15 internationally-respected researchers from 6 EU countries with expertise in how the brain produces and understands both spoken and written language. Topic covered included brain imaging of language processing in healthy brains, language problems in patients with stroke and dementia, and developmental language difficulties such as dyslexia. Twenty young researchers were employed in the network, a major goal of which was to help train up a future generation of neuroscientists.

The network needed a website to propagate information about its activities. Craig Cowling was recommended to me as someone with the necessary skills. Craig rapidly designed and created a website that was attractive, robust and easy to negotiate around. He updated the site at regular intervals with the minimum of fuss and generally made my life as co-ordinator of the network easy.

About Me

I first discovered my love for web design in 2002 when I was asked to take over the management of my employer's departmental website. It was a very steep but very enjoyable learning curve and since then I have thrown myself into learning everything I can about general design principles and best practice in the industry.

Following the birth of my daughter in April 2008, I reduced my hours at my day job to concentrate on building my web design business and I couldn't be happier. There is something very satisfying about meeting new people and helping them achieve the best from their web presence.
